What do your programs cost?

Students, kindergarten through 12th grade, visiting as part of an organized classroom visit are admitted free of charge. We require one adult chaperone for every ten students. Those required adults are also admitted free of charge. Additional adults are required to pay admission: $10.00 for adults, $6.00 for senior citizens and military service members, $5.00 for college students with ID.

Is funding available for transportation costs?

Yes! Thanks to the Secchia-Allen Bus Fund, visiting schools may qualify for transportation reimbursement. To download the application form, Bus Funding Form. For more information, contact: 616.254.0396 or avandervliet@38foundation.org.

Are the programs aligned with educational standards?

Yes, all of our programs have been carefully designed to be age- and grade-appropriate. Programs align with common core literacy standards as well as grade level content expectations for social studies.

Where is the DeVos Learning Center located?

The DeVos Learning Center is located within the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum at 303 Pearl Street NW Grand Rapids, MI 49504. (via google maps)

Is there space for my students to eat lunch?

Yes, upon check-in, our staff will assist you in storing sack lunches. Students are welcome to eat in the classroom or, if weather conditions allow, outside in Ah-Nab-Awen Park. Time for lunch is built into your students’ customized agenda for the day. Please note: there is no café, microwave, utensils, or vending machines on site.
