What an exciting time for the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation! Today we celebrate the Grand Opening of the NEW Gerald R. Ford Museum. After being closed for extensive renovations, the Museum is again coming to life, now with a brand new look and top-of-the-line technology that gives our visitors an interactive and dynamic experience. In addition to the new exhibits, we are also celebrating the Grand Opening of the DeVos Learning Center, a place for students to explore and discover the lessons to be learned from Gerald and Betty Ford. The Foundation is also pleased to be rolling out brand new educational programs for students that focus on learning character through history, civics, and the example of the Fords. Information about these programs and how to participate in them can be found right here on our website – we are currently scheduling groups for both the summer and next school year!

In keeping with the spirit of celebrating education and young people, nearly 1,000 students will be participating in the Grand Opening activities today. We are looking forward to welcoming students from the Gerald R. Ford Academic Center, West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science, Coopersville Area Public Schools, New Branches Academy, Murray Lake Elementary, Michigan Challenge Academy, and the Gerald R. Ford Job Corps. The long awaited day has arrived and we are thrilled to be spending it with those who are truly at the heart of this project – the young people of West Michigan.
